The #loveornothing
Music Manifesto
From the Blue Remembered Hills of Shropshire, to the city streets of London, and finally the soft sands of Devon, my music is the story of my life, influences and of those around me. Written from the heart without compromise and performed with passion, commitment and love
I’m Arch, and #loveornothing is my latest musical project.
After years writing and playing with bands like The Raw Herbs (Medium Cool Records) and The Trees, I took a break from creating my own songs and spent time on stage with Scam 69, reconnecting with the raw energy of live performance.
Now, in my own space at Studio Wolf, I’m writing from the heart again. My music is written in the language of pop, but it pulls from everywhere – Rock, Northern Soul, Indie and the sounds and stories of everyday life. I sing about real people, real moments and real emotion.
#loveornothing is me – more personal, more direct, and if I am honest, more vulnerable.
Its shaped by empathy, experience and the world around me. All of that comes together in songs that I hope feel both familiar and new – a unique, human sound that invites you in and stays with you.
Music is the bridge between human experience and raw emotion.
The Story of 'Always'
For All Who Serve

Always was inspired by my brother, Johnny, who died recently having lived with me for some time whilst he was ill.
He served on the submarine HMS Conqueror during the Falkland's war (Conqueror sank the Argentine battleship the Belgrano) and was never the same again.
I then connected it to my grandfather who was in the Navy during World War One before his ship was sunk and he was invalided out with "mental problems" from which he later recovered. He made the wood carving of the lords prayer (in the cover picture) as part of the therapy servicemen were encouraged to undertake.
In 1917 there were no drugs for what we would now call PTSD, so patients were encouraged to learn useful skills that would also calm the mind through the concentration that was needed, what we might call mindfulness. So, although the track started with thinking about my brother, it widened to more general thoughts about the impact of war and fighting on servicemen and women, and veterans.
Any profits from this recording will be given to SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity. SSAFA provides practical, emotional and financial support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. I have worked with SSAFA and know the value of the work that their dedicated staff and volunteers do.
